What does the Holy Spirit really do?

I love a clear three point presentation.  Anytime someone is speaking and they intro with telling the audience that they are going to be presenting three points, my pen is ready to write.  Give it to me clear and concise and I will track with the talk.  Jesus himself gives a clear three point presentation on the Holy Spirit in John 16.  “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me;)and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.” (v.8-11)

Jesus tells us the main sin that the Holy Spirit is interested in remedying in each of us is unbelief.  He wants us to believe.  Before we check this one off this list because we prayed a prayer of salvation long ago, we must ask ourselves today, do we believe, really?  Do we believe that God is in control and that we are not?  Do we believe that He is for us, that He loves us more than words can express, and that He longs to be in intimate relationship with us.  (Point two and three to come…)
