There is no reason to endure today. It is a new day, a new adventure, a new invitation from the Lord. It is so easy to get caught up in the ho hum of life. So easy to subconsciously think, “ok, I just need to get through today.” Our culture is all about the next thing, arriving at X, and we so easily miss the adventure of today.
There is the reason the Psalmist tells us, “This is the day the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it!” I see this as an invitation and a choice. Let us rejoice, let us enjoy the Lord today. May we chose to believe that whatever today holds, God is in the midst of it. The invitation is to walk with God, to enjoy Him and those He allows us to be in relationship with.
“To pray is to pay attention to what God is doing.” May we pray and enjoy today.
