Dinner time at our home is a good time! Elijah, 1 1/2 , repeatedly rips his bid off anytime food is not in front of him. Moriah insists on having action figures in front of her to watch her eat. Each night is new adventure. My favorite part about it is having the whole family together at the table. There is an intimacy that happens through eating together.
“And just as my Father has granted me a Kindgom, I now grant you the right to eat and drink atmy table in my Kingdom.” (Lk 22:29) What a powerful right! Jesus gives us the right of sons and daughters. All authority of his has been passed to us, and we have been granted the privilege of dining with him. I AM has invited us in.
I am so thankful for the Lord’s Supper. It cleanses me, reminds me of my place at His table in the Kingdom, and reveals to me my true identity as a son of the true King.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your invitation to “sup” with you. I accept your invitation today. Amen
