Day 6: Coming Home

Did that just happen??? Did I just spend 6 days in Montana on an unbelievable ranch with ten other men walking through some of the core teachings of Jesus?  Wow, I still can’t believe what we experienced together in the hills of Montana.  The setting, fishing the Madison, meeting great guys, the food, the lodge and cabins, it all still seems a bit surreal.

Our last breakfast and morning together was great.  We arrived six days before as strangers and were departing as friends.  During the week each man had a chance to tell his story.  Once you know a man’s story, you are well down the road of the knowing the man.  We bonded quickly and many of us were going home changed.

For me this trip was a great opportunity to pause and reflect on the man the Lord has created me to be.  The three major themes of Wild At Heart are that we are created for battle, adventure and rescue.  As I considered these for me I was encouraged and challenged to head home with a renewed sense of calling.  Image
